Nature monument Bedekovićeve grabe includes wet meadows with Great Burnet (Sanguisorba officinalis) and two species of butterflies - Scarce Large Blue (Phengaris telejus) and Dusky Large Blue (Phengaris nausithous). For the survival of this community it is important to maintain the wet meadows (Alopecurus pratensis, Sanguisorba officinalis) on the traditional way (mowing at least once or twice a year). Meadows of this type in Međjimurje are bordered with community of oak and hornbeam forests (Querco Carpinetum). Protected area is also NATURA2000 ecological network site.
